چکیده
This paper make straightforward extensions to Anderson’s (1996) nonparametric statistical tests of stochastic dominance criteria to bivariate distributions. These test are applied to a time series of cross-section datasets on household level total expenditure and non labour market time in the UK.

Constancy of distributions: nonparametric monitoring of probability distributions over time
In this paper we study stochastic processes which enable monitoring the possible changes of probability distributions over time. These processes may in particular be used to test the null hypothesis of no change. The monitoring processes are bivariate functions, of time and position at the measurement scale, and are approximated with zero mean Gaussian processes under the constancy hypothesis. ...
متن کاملA nonparametric test of stochastic dominance in multivariate distributions
The literature on statistical test of stochastic dominance has thus far been concerned with univariate distributions. This paper presents nonparametric statistical tests for multivariate distributions. This allows a nonparametric treatment of multiple welfare indicators. These test are applied to a time series of cross-section datasets on household level total expenditure and non labour market ...
متن کاملapplication of crovelli's bivariate gamma distribution in hydrological processes
Mathematical methods and statistical distributions present exact results in the climate calculations and hydrological processes. Awareness of the rainfall probability distribution provides the appropriate conditions for water resource planning. Many studies have been done to estimate probability of rainfall by various methods due to the importance of rainfall distribution in the economic, soci...
متن کاملA New Method for Generating Continuous Bivariate Distribution Families
Recently, it has been observed that a new method for generating continuous distributions, T - X family, can be quite effectively used to analyze the data in one dimension. The aim of this study is to generalize this method to two dimensional space so that the marginals would have T - X distributions. So, several examples and properties of this family have been presented. As ...
متن کاملConstancy of distributions: asymptotic efficiency of certain nonparametric tests of constancy
In this paper we study stochastic processes which enable monitoring the possible changes of probability distributions over time. These so-called monitoring processes are bivariate functions of time and position at the measurement scale, and in particular be used to test the null hypothesis of no change: one may then form Kolmogorov–Smirnov or other type of tests as functionals of the processes....
